How it works

Set up once. Then forget about it.

About 15 minutes from start to syncing, with a step-by-step guide the whole way.

1

Start it

One command starts Klartion on your computer, NAS or server.

2

Set it up

A short wizard asks for your key and the Notion database to fill.

3

Connect your bank

Pick your bank and approve read-only access on its own login page.

Then open Notion. It's already there.

Klartion syncs on a schedule you pick, every 6, 12 or 24 hours. Each transaction becomes a row with its date, amount, merchant, category and status. Duplicates are skipped, and pending transactions update when they settle.

If something needs your attention, like a bank connection about to expire, you get an email.

Up to 2 banks included

Mix European and North American banks. Extra slots are €10.

Learns your categories

Categorise a merchant once in Notion and new rows from it follow.

eToro & Binance

Track your portfolio balance next to your bank accounts.

Email when it matters

A heads-up if a sync fails or a bank needs renewing.

FAQ

Questions

Is it really a one-time payment?

Yes. €45 once, no subscription and nothing to renew. Updates are included.

Will it work with my setup?

Klartion runs as a small Docker container on a Mac, a Linux box, a Raspberry Pi, a NAS or a small server, and writes into a Notion database you choose. The setup guide walks you through it.

The bank connection goes through Enable Banking for European banks, which is free, or SimpleFIN Bridge for US and Canadian banks, which costs $15 a year, paid to SimpleFIN. The 7-day trial is the easiest way to find out.

Is it safe to connect my bank?

Access is read-only and goes through Enable Banking or SimpleFIN, regulated bank-data providers. Klartion never sees your bank password and can't make payments.

Klartion runs on your machine and sends transactions straight to your Notion. The code is open source.

Which banks work?

Over 2,500 banks across 29 European countries, plus most major US and Canadian banks such as Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, RBC and TD. Search for yours above. For a US or Canadian bank, also check it's on SimpleFIN's list.

What happens when the trial ends?

Nothing is deleted, and your Notion database stays exactly as it is. Syncing pauses until you add a license: buy one for €45, enter the key on the License page, and it starts again.

Do I have to log in to my bank again?

European banks ask you to renew open banking access every 90 to 180 days. Klartion emails you before it expires, and renewing takes one click and your bank login.

Can I connect more than one bank?

Yes. Two bank accounts are included, and you can mix European and North American banks on the same install. Extra slots are €10 each from inside the app.

I use Actual Budget, not Notion.

Then you want Bridge Bank, Klartion's sibling from the same maker. It brings your European bank into Actual Budget the same way.

I don't have Docker. Can you host it?

A hosted version is coming. Leave your email and you'll hear when it's ready.
